Specialty: Endurance sports; fitness to complement chronic illness; injury prevention. "Pick one easy health goal each week and stick to it. Every good decision leads to your health." Bio: Personal Trainer Gabriel earned his Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science and nutrition from Rutgers University. He has spent the past 17 years working toward the health and well-being of others as a fitness trainer, certified emergency medical technician, and volunteer firefighter. Currently, he is preparing to become a certified strength and conditioning specialist. His experience also includes volunteer work in a physical therapy setting, and coaching young athletes. Gabriel's skills and nurturing personality make him an ideal training partner for those suffering from chronic diseases or coming through rehabilitation. He focuses on injury prevention by emphasizing slow, controlled movements during exercise sessions. He believes they offer the safest, most efficient workout. He also enjoys providing endurance training, with competitive events a favorite hobby of his. He has completed half-marathons and expects to add triathlons to his list of accomplishments. He is a big fan of endurance sports. When relaxing, Gabriel spends time engrossed in the science and history TV channels. His favorite food is apple pie. Gabriel wants to help his clients slow down and truly enjoy their workout. He thrives in the Center's environment where members are focused not only on improving physical appearance but, most importantly, on living better. |
